October Moon

October Moon
We damned the sun for shining
The morning after
So we fumbled , lost and broken
Blinded by our pain
And the hours bled away...
(come home, come home, come home)
So surreal the bubbles
Floated to the ground
Deafening in their beauty
Like her, too beautiful to last long
Ephemereal, fleeting, they fall
(We fall)
October is the cruelest month,
Her favorite, so ironic
It will always be her month
As the leaves turned,
Just as she turned.
(Turn, turn, turn)
And the house, so full of her
Is empty, despite the crowds
Echos of her sound off every wall,
Hellos and Goodbyes long gone...
Her laughter hasn't died
(But nothing gold can remain)
So, surrounded by her face
We wait with grapes and flowers
For our Tia to come home
Or for someone to help us pick up the pieces
(come home, come home, come home)
We damned the sun for shining
The morning after
So we fumbled , lost and broken
Blinded by our pain
And the hours bled away...
(come home, come home, come home)
So surreal the bubbles
Floated to the ground
Deafening in their beauty
Like her, too beautiful to last long
Ephemereal, fleeting, they fall
(We fall)
October is the cruelest month,
Her favorite, so ironic
It will always be her month
As the leaves turned,
Just as she turned.
(Turn, turn, turn)
And the house, so full of her
Is empty, despite the crowds
Echos of her sound off every wall,
Hellos and Goodbyes long gone...
Her laughter hasn't died
(But nothing gold can remain)
So, surrounded by her face
We wait with grapes and flowers
For our Tia to come home
Or for someone to help us pick up the pieces
(come home, come home, come home)

Seeking Ancient Breath

Seeking Ancient Breath
Oil on Gold leafed linen
38"x48"
This is one of those internal pieces that words should not be spoken in front of.
It can only be felt....not defined.
Emotions are birds of space, in a cage of words they can spread
their wings but can never fly.
Much art is.........a transcending language.
now I'll shut the hell up!

Napolean and Josephine (something uplifting)

Josephine
Oil on Panel
Lady spirit of fragile womb,
moist and fertile visions swell.
Shadow of man's lustful doom.
Within his hand a crush of shell.

Napolean
Oil on panel
Rapacious greed, the Conquerer stands erect.
Wearing a crown of fear on his cruel bitter dick.
Blind to the moon or the turn of the tide,
within fate's vengeful cunt, our young Emperor died.

New Artist Statement....

Devine Search for Self Cloaked within Selflessness
Morning Loves,
...soon to be unveiled is a new body of work from my tower.
Title being;
"Devine Search for Self Cloaked within Selflessness."
My statement started with the question......
"What am I searching for?" which is a seemingly simple question that is infinitely complex, evolving and can be fielded in a multitude of ways.
I decided to answer my own question spontaneously...without forethought; off the cuff or tongue if you will, which matches the process of my work itself.
Currently at this point in my life I am searching for some assimilance of equilibrium between being content within my own skin and the ability to live outwards, love and not lose myself in the process. No easy feet for a girl that is a headlong into the fire, impetuous and all or nothing mentality.
I am looking for the other slipper, lost and new friends, endless kisses, every breath being saturated with the joy of living, my hair brush, earrings with red sparkles, someone to share my dreams with in the morning, dream of and hold while I am dreaming, Calorie free chocolate, wine that makes me tipsy...never drunk, acceptance, someone who will tongue kiss me happily when I am 99, perpetual grace...my underwear...honesty in my work, honesty in love, an invisibility cloak and always that next orgasm.
Love you guys....work to follow...still working and photographing!

When the sun came out........we danced as if it would never come again!
Torchiere

"Torchiere"
13" x 8.5"
oil on panel
This little painting is a gesture in expansion for me. The point of the image was the sheer joy of execution and the lush feeling of the paint. I was attempting to leave the emotions at the door and simply BE with the brushes and color.
OK....we all know I failed miserably.......emotion is what I am made of. One can not hide from the grist mill of your soul.
